GATE Electrical Engineering - About

GATE EE Questions are of both numerical answer type questions and multiple choice questions (MCQ). From the above tabular analysis we can say that Engineering Mathematics, Electric Circuits, Electric machines, Power system, Analog and Digital Electronics and Power electronics are very important subjects that you should never ignore. Out of 65 questions 10 questions are from General Aptitude section which will carry about 15% of total marks, Engineering Mathematics will carry about 15% of total marks and the remaining 70% of total marks are from Electrical Engineering section.

By analyzing the trends of the previous year we predict that Engineering Mathematics, Electrical Machines, Power Systems, Control Systems and Electric Circuits subjects are having weightage more than 50 marks. So prioritizing these subjects may get you more marks. Easy questions would be from General Aptitude, Electric Circuits, Power Systems, , Control Systems, Op-Amps, Digital Electronics. Difficult questions are possible from Electrical machines, Signal and Systems, EMT, Power Electronics. Revise the previous GATE exam questions to check your fastness and accuracy.
