UGC NET July 2016: Admit Cards Available for Download

The admit cards for the University Grants Commission National Eligibility Test (UGC NET) has been released by the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) on its official website.


The UGC NET July 2016 examination is scheduled to be held on July 10, 2016.

Candidates who have successfully applied for the NET July examination will be able to download their admit cards from the official website of the conducting board.

How to download UGC NET July 2016 admit cards?

·         Candidates have to log on to the official website here.

·         Click on the live link 'Download Admit Card'

·         Candidates should login here with their application number and password generated during th time of registration.

·         On successful submission of the above details in the space provided, admit cards will be displayed on the screen.

·         Candidates are required to take a print-out of the admit cards for further reference.


Note: Admit card is a mandatory document to be carried to the exam hall on the day of NET examination, failure of which the candidate will not allowed to take up the examination.

UGC NET to be conducted on 22 January

In a short notification, Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) released the exam dates for UGC NET 2017. The exam will be held on 22 January, 2017.

The National Eligibility Test (NET) for the Junior Research Fellowship (JRF) and lectureship is conducted by UGC twice in a year.

The details of the examination will be published on the official website on 15 October, 2016. The online application process will be starting in November 2016, as of now.

The exams will be conducted for 95 different subjects from the arts and humanities discipline. The test can be taken in the subject of post graduation by the desired candidate. Exam Pattern of UGC NET: UGC NET exam is conducted in three parts known as Paper - I, Paper - II and Paper - III. Paper - I: It is a 100 marks paper which has to be solved in the duration of 1 hour 15 minutes. Paper - II: It is a 100 marks paper about the relevant subject and has to be solved within the given duration of 1 hour 15 minutes Paper - III: It is a 150 marks paper based on the subject. It has to be solved in the given duration of 2 hours 20 minutes Selection procedure: Candidates need to obtain minimum qualifying marks of all three papers as directed by UGC From those who obtained the minimum marks in each paper, a list of top 15% candidates is prepared who are qualified for NET From those qualified for NET, a merit list of candidates qualifying JRF is prepared

On qualifying JRF the candidate is eligible to pursue research in his/her subject of post graduation as well as being an assistant professor of the subject in any recognized university.


CBSE UGC NET 2016 Exam Results Released

The results for UGC NET 2016 has been released by the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) on Monday. The results are available in the official website of CBSE.


Steps to check CBSE UGC NET 2016 results:

·         On the homepage, click the CBSE - UGC NET EXAMINATION - July 2016 link

·         A log in page appears asking details of candidates such as roll number and date of birth appears. Enter the details

·         Click Submit

·         The result will be displayed. Save it in your computer and take a print out for future reference.


Held on 10 July 2016, the exam was conducted in 88 cities and on August 28, it was held in Srinagar.

Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) on November 21 declared the University Grants Commission's (UGC) National Eligibility Test (NET) July 2016 results.

UGC NET tests the eligibility of candidates who are Indian Nationals for the post of Assistant Professor or acquire Junior Research Fellowship.

Candidates who have been declared eligible for the Junior Research Fellowship can do research in the subject of their postgraduation or in a related subject and are also eligible to apply for the post of an assistant professor in Indian universities and colleges
